After two years of time, the most awaited Vikram’s movie “Kandasamy” has hit the screens last Friday. I had the opportunity of watching this film. I saw this movie in Kasi Theatre which is one of the best theatres in Chennai. Kandasamy was directed by Susi Ganeshan and the actors of this movie are Vikram and Shreya. Vadivelu has done his comedy part in the movie and Prabhu has done the job of police officer.
Before going to the review of this movie I like to discuss about the story of this movie. In this movie Vikram plays the role of Kandasamy. He is a CBI officer who is in the income tax department and he goes for frequent raids. Duty of Vikram is to collect the black money of big business man and entrepreneurs and give those money to the needed people if form of Lord Kandasamy. As a result the people started to visit the temple to put forth their request to help.
Actor Shreya plays the actual Tamil heroines, where she is the daughter of a big business man cum rowdy. She is sexy and does sexy cat things to attract Vikram to make him fall in love with her. She is mostly scene in songs and finally Vikram gets caught by the police and after investigation he is set free.
Now according to me this film is a mixture of “Gentleman” and “Citizen”. Why do Tamil directors always take the remakes of old movies. I want the directors to think out of the box. The whole is utter waste of time. Vadivelu’s comedy is nice but he could be seen at only few places. The songs are medium and final climax song is good. This film is worth watching ones. The couples are looking good on the screen. For this kind of movie the hype created during the audio release is too much.
