Osteoporosis --> Prevent it...!!!!!!!

It is time to know about the importance of bone and bone related issues. The most common disease that we get due to bones is osteoporosis, often called brittle bone disease, is not confined to the elderly. Younger people are also at risk if they smoke or are underweight. One way to diagnose osteoporosis is by measuring a person’s bone mineral density; the German medical journal has quoted this.

The risk factors for the disease also included the use of certain medications such as anti-epileptics, a family history of osteoporosis or fractures such as those of femoral neck, and certain disease such as rheumatologic disorders, type-1 diabetes and renal insufficiency. People with a low BMD should protect their bone health.

The best way to prevent this disease from happening is to refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol and one has to do regular exercise to boost muscular strength and coordination. Calcium and Vitamin D should be included in our daily food.
